Miscellaneous Illustration
A showcase for commissions I’ve done that were illustration-heavy but not expansive enough for their own page.

This was a sticker illustration for a cause near and dear to my heart as a transman: Trans Lifeline! The admin over at the VGMVINYL4ALL Discord hit me up to do a sticker design as a reward for folks that donated to the fundraiser & raffle, so I immediately had lots of ideas to incorporate both vinyl and the trans flag. I wanted it to have texture and depth, so I drew in my sketchbook with colored pencil, Posca pens, and acrylic gouache and scanned it in when I was done.

Illustrations for a vinyl insert featuring Shiho Fujii, Kazumi Totaka, and Manaka Tominaga, three legendary composers who’ve done countless projects and works for Nintendo.

This is the front and back of a postcard-sized thank you for listening card for the unofficial Twilight Princess vinyl set, and technically features my first nude art commission lmao. One side features Wolf Link and some cat friends listening to a record spinning and the other side has a flock (???) of oocca listening to music. This was such a fun one, I love getting to be super silly.

Spot illustration that Very Ok Vinyl used for a sticker and on a digital banner for web advertising.

Two stickers and a seafood paella magnet that were added goodies in a Breath of the Wild related commission. My first magnet!

The first ever VGM Fest was put on by Very Ok Vinyl and had lots of other VGM vinyl labels participate. I was tasked with the promo poster, and my brain just kept going to a picnic theme….so, here we are! I made every label an item that you might find in a picnic basket and played around with texture and shadows.

Large booth banner that Very Ok Vinyl uses at shows/expos/conventions! This is the largest thing I’ve designed yet, but we wanted it to be big and loud to attract potential customers!

I had a client reach out to me that liked my Mario shirt design which were simple black linework illustrations of Mario characters and icons, and they wanted that treatment for characters and icons from games they were putting on a Nintendo DS soundtrack compilation. Of course I happily obliged because not only were some of my favorite characters on the docket, but it was right up my alley.

One of my earlier Very Ok stickers, this one was a wordmark one featuring Scott’s first snake baby Lemon!

Charles Schulz inspired homage illustration for a Pokemon Christmas Bash tape; this one is always going to be one of my favorites I’ve gotten to do. This pushed me outside my comfort zone—or at least I thought, until I realized it was much more doable for me than I expected.

Quick little announcement promo for VoV’s release of the Rusty soundtrack. The main inspiration was going off of how the music felt to me and being loose and energetic with my linework.

Sneks, EH?! is a Canada based business that revolves around snakes. Sharing new arrivals, the snakes they already owned, and in the future you might be able to find babies of your own on there and some 3D printed enclosure accessories for them!

This was a super fun commission where the person asked for a shiny espeon in red mage garb! This suave lil fella has a dapper outfit, a rose sword, and a ton of charm to boot.

Front cover for the unofficial Bloody Roar 2 test press jacket—my client wanted to take this gritty PS1 fighting game and make it cute and childish which I was SO on board for. I got a crayon-like brush pack and fully leaned in to imperfect lines and coloring like a kid’s coloring book would be. To fully run the theme home we labeled it “Bwoody Woar” and still to this day I call it that in my head when I see it.

A couple years back, a wonderful friend of mine asked me to do an illustration for him and his husband’s holiday card. This was before they were married, and it has been such a pleasure to see their relationship go from dating to engaged and now married. Jordan is such a kind person and fellow creative, so this commission will always be a fond memory for me.

In 2021 the Baltimore Gamer Symphony Orchestra asked me to do a couple sticker designs for their show that focused on Baltimore-area game devs, so these were a Pipboy for Fallout, a sweet roll for Elder Scrolls, and Squirrely Roo Rabbit for the game with the same name.

This project my senior year at Portland State was the first time I ever heard about risograph printing. It’s a lot like screenprinting, which I love! I wanted it to be as absurd as possible, since the objective was to reference the deadly sin of Gluttony and we were limited to using 2 colors and 4 shades. Yes, he absolutely did stack a dead beaver up in there.
