Pokemon Puzzle Challenge Tape
This was my first cassette tape commission, and while the very small canvas to work with was an interesting adjustment I had a great time! I did this commission before I even drew on my iPad and that is insane to think about—I can tell how much I’ve progressed in just over 3 short years.
Gen 2 is my favorite Pokemon generation and I loved this version of the game (it was also on the N64 which I didn’t have), so it was fun to revisit the music and block shapes. The font and the logos are assets from the game, so that part was extra easy and just about some layout work. An acrylic pin came with the tapes featuring the one and only Beeg Pikachu, which is the best Pikachu. I love how this project was a new challenge (ba dum tiss) for me with new template limitations but still allowed me the space to let my charm and character shine through.
